There are over 500 verbs you can use to express yourself, move, and interact with other players in DragonRealms
! Following is a list of some of the basic commands to get you started:
GET - Moves the object to your hand, from either the ground or from your inventory
PUT IN - Gets the object out of your hand to a specific location
DROP - Puts the item on the ground in the room
LOOK - Gives you a description of the room, people, creatures, what's in a container, or what's behind an object
OPEN - Allows you to open containers to get what is inside, such as weapons, money or pamphlets
INVENTORY - Gives you a list of the items in your possession
WEALTH - Shows how much money you have
HEALTH - Tells you the condition of your character
ATTACK - Combat command. It initiates the auto-attack sequence, which will determine what weapon you are using and swing it at intervals.
EAT and DRINK - Take a bite or a sip. Food and drink have a limited number of times you can eat or drink before they are used up. Herbs have healing powers and strong drink can make you drunk.
WEAR - Puts on an item that can be worn, including armor, clothing, shield, etc.
REMOVE - Takes off items that can be worn.
WHISPER - only you and the one you whisper to can hear it
DIR - Gives directions to a place, like temples, merchants, the blacksmith, etc.
N, S, E, W, NE, NW, SE, SW, UP, DOWN - moves you in that direction
ASK - Used to ask NPCs [non player characters such as the town merchants] about something
ADVICE - Gives some basic tips on what to do next
ASSIST - Calls a GM or Host to help you
HELP - Provides several topics to choose from
