IRON COALITION ISSUES “MISSION STATEMENT”
The following is the full text of a press release from the Central Command of the Coalition:
The Iron Coalition has faithfully served humanity in war and peace for a century. Coalition forces are responsible for safeguarding humanity's interests, preventing disasters, and making the solar system a safer place. They do this by finding peaceful solutions to disputes, addressing the root causes of human suffering, and when required, direct military action.
The Coalition's pride as a fighting force has always been our personnel; they are the engine that propels it. More than ever, the Coalition must attract, train, and motivate the most competent and dedicated people so that its forces continue to be persuasive in peace and invincible in war. The Coalition assures humanity's security by equipping, training, and caring for its personnel and enabling them to reach their full potential. Their physical, moral, and mental competence gives the Coalition the strength, confidence, and will to fight and win battles anywhere and under any circumstances.
The solar system is a dangerous place full of greedy individuals and criminal interests whose influence unduly increases human suffering. These forces foster an environment of extremism and the drive to acquire weapons of mass destruction. They also fuel an irrepressible human demand for freedom, which the Coalition shares. The threats to peace and stability are numerous and complex and the Iron Coalition stands ready to face them.
The Coalition is prepared to take a leadership role in humanity's struggles. It is what makes the Coalition different from those who oppose it. The Coalition takes those who join its ranks and grows them into the leaders of tomorrow. The Coalition will continue to develop these leaders through study and field experience. Coalition soldiers give humanity a corps of leaders with an unmatched work ethic, a strong set of values, courage, responsibility, and a dedication to duty.
In providing this service to humanity, the Iron Coalition is and will remain a values-based organization where loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and courage are the cornerstone of all the Coalition has done and will do in the future. Coalition soldiers, who exemplify these values, are the best in the solar system. These brave men an women voluntarily forego comfort and wealth, face hardship and sacrifice, confront danger and sometimes death in defense of humanity. Humanity owes them its unwavering support.
