HugeLeviathan, a dedicated Allegiance player, has compiled a list of questions that get asked over - and over again. I personally want to thank Leviathan for taking the time out to put together this list. I thought briefly about combining it with the Known Issues page but I feel it stands on its own merit. I did briefly edit some sections of the article.

I can't connect to the server.
- Have you ever played Allegiance on the Zone before? If yes, then it's likely to be because the servers are down or they have not connected to ZoneFriends before running Allegiance.
- Are you running ICS, on a LAN, or behind a firewall? If so you'll more than likely have to change some settings. Read this network paper.
- Are you running AOL5? If so, try AOL4 again.
- The servers are down.
I'm getting a "guaranteed message cannot be delivered" dialog box appear when I click the Games list button.

How do I download the game?
Go to the Downloads page.
I've downloaded and installed but I get the following message "Although you have a valid Zone account you are not authorized to access this server" or something similar.
You need to subscribe to Allegiance by clicking the Subscription button in the left-hand navigation. You will get a limited-time-only account to play the Allegiance Beta.
How do I AutoUpdate?
Make sure you are running ZoneFriends by loggin into the Zone. Start Allegiance. Click the Allegiance Zone icon followed by the Games List button. The game will check whether it has the latest version installed and if not it will automatically start downloading.
Do I have to pay to play the Allegiance Beta?
No, although the subscription page makes it appear this way as it's called the Billing Services page. Eventually the Allegiance Zone will be the subscription part to Allegiance.
Will I have to pay to play Allegiance when it's release?
All normal games will be free on the Zone. There will be a $10 per month fee if you want to play in the Allegiance Zone. This includes persistent rankings, registered squads, unique events, larger arenas and games and custom factions.
My AutoUpdate keeps failing.
It can take a very long time (hours) to AutoUpdate for some people. Make sure they are not being too hasty before telling them to abort. For really screwed updates, some people have deleted their Autoupdates directory although do this at your own risk.
I've downloaded and it says I'm missing WSOCK32.DLL.
This is for Windows 95 machines that do not have WinSock2 installed. Tell them to download and install it from here .
I keep crashing with KERNEL errors.
Probably due to sound or video drivers. Make sure you have the latest drivers installed and you are using Direct/X 7a.
I keep spinning in circles as soon as I launch.
For some bizarre reason, the throttle seems to have been mapped to the roll of the joystick. Remap the roll to another key on your joystick.
Unhappy beta player (aka "This game is crap it keeps crashing")
This is a beta not a trial. If it crashes, bug it.
