Download Trial Version
Installing and running the Trial Version:
- Download the Trial Version.
- Now you can launch the Trial Version from your Windows Start menu.
Download Game Update
Go get the Patch and read about the new features.
Installing and running the game update:
- Install the Game Update.
- All players on the Zone must be running the same version.
- You must have both the full retail version of the game and DirectX 5.0a installed for the update to work. The DirectX 5.0a installation program--DPLAY50A.EXE--can be found in the DirectX folder on your Age of Empires CD.
Award-Winning Age Scenario from Spain
Play the winning entry from a major Age scenario-building contest judged by Bruce Shelley of Ensemble Studios. This scenario features a detailed map of the Iberian Peninsula and five armies with a complex set of allegiances.
- Download the scenario. The notes included in it are in Spanish. Read the article for an English summary.
- Place the file into the scenario folder within your Age of Empires folder. By default, this folder is located at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires\scenario.
- When you load Age of Empires, you should see the scenario "Lucha por la conquista de la peninsula Iberica" in the Scenarios list. Enjoy!
