Dogfighter.Com Awards “Best Prop Sim”to CFS2!
Combat Flight Simulator 2: World War II Pacific Theater has notched another award from a noteworthy source. On December 12th Dogfighter.Com named the popular Microsoft combat simulation “Best Prop Sim for 2000.”
The award was one of a series of “Best of” awards given annually by the site, which offers “flight sim news, reviews and info.” Combat Flight Simulator 2 won out over Unique Development Studio's Airfix Dogfighter, Microprose's B-17 Flying Fortress: The Mighty Eighth, and Microsoft's own Crimson Skies.
Dogfighter rated CFS2 as “an overwhelming favorite,” citing the simulation's “extremely detailed flight modeling” and “tremendous visual effects.” Dogfighter.Com gave awards in five other areas: Best Jet Sim, Best Helicopter Sim, Best Online Flight Sim, Best Flight Sim and Best Overall Flight Sim, the latter category covering any year and any area of interest.
