Multiplayer Tactics
In multiplayer, coordinate roles so one player tanks in melee while others cast from behind, and be aware that hostile players can enable player-versus-player to steal your dropped gold and items, so drop nothing you cannot afford to lose.
Advanced Play
Hunt for high-quality unique and magic items and stack faster hit-recovery, resistances, and bonuses like "of the Zodiac" on rings and amulets, then use Mana Shield on a Sorcerer to convert incoming damage into mana loss for near-invulnerability while your mana holds.
