You've mastered the Mint. You're an expert at the Amazon. You pummel your friends in the Skyscraper, and the Estate seems like old hat. It's time for a change, and Red Storm Entertainment has provided just that! Get your eight best friends and engage the newest missions, maps, sites, and sounds in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Mission Pack: Eagle Watch!
New Training Levels
Even the best Special Ops team needs to practice their skills. You don't think they hired you for your looks, do you? You thought you knew how to take down tangos, but now you've got 30 of them spread out randomly on the map, every one stealthy as a cat, and every one burning with a single, fanatic purpose: Kill that Worm from Special Forces!
Double Kill House Hunt
You've played Kill House before, but this one adds a new twist: 30 randomly placed tangos out for your blood. Your mission is to go out, kill all of them, and not get killed yourself. If you can do this, you've won the game. Not only that, but you've prepared yourself for the fast-moving excitement of any other multiplayer game in Rainbow Six: Eagle Watch. The "Hunt" idea was inspired by the multiplayer games you know and love.
City Street Hunt
It's just like the small city street you played in Rainbow Six, but this one's got the "Hunt" aspect as well. Go on, walk through the street like you're on a Sunday picnic?and see which of the 30 hidden terrorists has you for lunch! They'll stomp you at every turn. Be careful; use your cover. You're given plenty of vantage points from which to shoot, but remember, they're out there watching for you too. It's a larger street than in the original Rainbow Six, with more adventure waiting around every corner. It's not as easy as it looks!
New Campaign Missions
We'll let you discover the nuances of each of these new missions. In cooperative mode, you can choose to play any of the five new missions with different challenges and dangers. You'll move through a Russian Space Shuttle called the Buran, trying to neutralize the terrorists and protect the workers. You'll encounter radical Indian separatist groups in the Taj Mahal. (The floor plan on this one is spectacular!) You wouldn't want to fire too many bullets into the holy and historic walls, splatting blood from the back of some terrorist's head all over the pretty tapestries, now would you? You need to find and secure the hostages and prevent the bomb from being detonated. You'll encounter Irish terrorists who have taken hostages in the clock tower of the British House of Parliament. You have to go in, find the hostages, and rescue them. I'll let you discover the ins and outs of the Forbidden City in Red Lightning and the final mission scenario of Eagle Watch. This last one takes place right within the United States. The terrorists have found the Senate Wing of the U.S. Capitol Building and are, of course, holding hostages. Tax dollars are going to waste while we wait! Get those hostages, kill the terrorists, and get the government back to work!
New Multiplayer Games
Enough with just going in and trying to kill each other, Red Storm has added new multiplayer excitement with four new modes: Scatter, Assassination, Terrorist Hunt, and Save the Base.
Assassination mode: Introducing the General. He's a quirky fellow who acts very much like a hostage. Your mission is to escort him around and protect him from being killed. He isn't armed and he's quite helpless. He's probably blubbering like a baby and needs to get home to his nice, comfy office at the Pentagon. The other team wants to kill your General, and you, likewise, want to kill theirs. Watch out!
Save Your Base: This mode is bound to be a favorite! Your task is to defuse a bomb. Sound simple? The problem is that the bomb you have to defuse is located in the other guy's base. And of course, it's surrounded by all of his men, who are waiting to kill you. But wait! There's more. You, too, have a bomb in your base that they're trying to defuse. So they'll be heading your way to get to their bomb target as well. You have to decide how many people should go on the offensive and try to defuse the bomb and how many of your best defense soldiers should stay with the base. Remember to pack a Demolitions Kit with your bomb squad!
Terrorist Hunt mode: Imagine a map full of terrorists who, of course, are trying to kill you. And you, being the hot-blooded soldier that you are, want to kill them. Now add the other team in with the mix. They want to kill the terrorists as well. Whoever can kill more than 50% of the terrorists wins the game. This scenario, of course, means you get to go on a true-life, Rambo-certified killing spree. It's like shooting fish in a barrel, except there are two of you with guns and only one barrel. (And the fish shoot back!)
Scatter mode: You and your team members are separated at the beginning of the game. Your group will have to think in an entirely different way. If you aren't working as a team, you won't win. You'll also want to be especially careful to watch who you're shooting. The man coming around the corner could be a teammate, or he could be the enemy. This may be an excellent place to use some of the custom/designer skins available out on fan Web sites.
Scatter Teams
The ultimate survival game. You'll be dropped at scattered spawn points on the map, and your men will be far apart.
Scatter Assassination
Now that you know assassination mode, this puts it together with scatter mode. You'll be far away from your other team members, and your civilian will be involved too.
Scatter Hunt
This is the most challenging multiplayer game in Rainbow Six: Eagle Watch. It mixes the kill, kill, kill of the terrorist hunt with the fact that your men are scattered all over the map. Whichever team kills more than half of the terrorists wins.
Three Cool New Weapons
Just when you were getting used to your full arsenal, here are three more weapons to throw in the munitions box. You've probably picked your favorite, and you use it like your right arm. It's comfortable, trustworthy, and always gets its target. But try out the latest and greatest rifles and sidearm that are now standard-issue to the Rainbow Six team. Why, John Clark himself picked these out for his men. Give them a try.
Primary Weapons
HK G36K Assault Rifle: This is a new Heckler and Koch assault rifle sure to hit its mark. It's more compact and ready to use in closer quarters. The best thing about this rifle is that its 5.56mm rounds can penetrate most any body armor.
HK G3A3 Assault Rifle: Another favorite from Heckler and Koch's assault rifle line. Its advantage is its stinging accuracy. Of all of the guns in Rainbow Six's weaponry, this one is by far the most accurate. It fires a mighty 7.62mm NATO round. If I were a terrorist looking at a group of men carrying these weapons, I'd probably give the hostages up, hand out the defuse code for any bombs, and apologize on my knees. It's devastating.
Secondary Weapon
.50-Caliber Desert Eagle: Put away your silencers, hang up your 9mm 92FS, because you're going to want this shiny new baby in your holster instead. Welcome to the Desert Eagle. It's the only handgun in the Rainbow Six military storehouse that can punch a bullet through medium and heavy body armor without a blink! Pick it up, play a while with it, and see what it can do. You may never go back!
Four New Operatives
You've been playing Chavez, Hanley, and Walther so often that you feel a personal loss when they die. You know that no one can defuse a bomb like your guy Beckenbauer. You send in Lofquist for all of your electronics needs, and the Sweeny-Yacoby team is always sneaking around for recon missions. You think like they do, you know their stats by heart, and you feel like you're one big family, but John Clark has recruited four new operatives into the Rainbow Six team. You are to treat them like teammates, push their limits as you always do, and protect their backs in battle. Come meet the new team.
Louis Louiselle: He's a 30-year-old Frenchman who was formerly in the Parachute Division and once part of a tactical espionage and counter-espionage group called Service 7. He is married -- his wife's name is Elaine -- and enjoys reading in his free time. Though aggressive, Louis has amazing self-control. His firearms knowledge is unsurpassed, but his demolitions knowledge is not very good, so you may not want him to defuse any bombs. Send that man to the front of your group, and he'll find his target and win the day.
Homer Johnston: A fit, lean 26-year-old American from Boise, IL, he's got an impressive portfolio. He's a former Green Beret and Delta member of the 101st AirMobile at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, who later moved into Black Ops. He's got great stamina and stealth abilities. Combine these with his love of running and firearms, and you have a killer-assault specialist on your hands. Johnston is also an expert with all forms of rifles. He's not married and spends his free time hunting. (He shot his first deer when he was just 10 years old!)
Eddie Price: A confirmed bachelor at 40 years of age, he's older than most of the Rainbow Six operatives. He's a British Assault expert with experience to back his credentials. It's no wonder that John Clark noticed him. He stands over six feet tall, is often seen holding a smoking pipe, and frequently tells stories of his military background in the 14th Intelligence Company in Northern Ireland. He's an expert at Northern Ireland terrorism, monitoring known IRA tangos and planning preemptive strikes against their strongholds. He's excellent with a rifle and always hits his mark. A great leader who's extremely fit and takes time to improve himself through reading, Eddie knows how to work well within a team.
Dieter Weber: This bachelor and Tai Kwan Do expert from Germany is 27 years old. He became an expert in counter-terrorism on the German Border Guards' GSG-9 team. He's fluent in German and English. He and Johnston are the best marksmen on the Rainbow Six team. He's also got great strengths in stamina, firearms, stealth, and teamwork. John Clark considers him a welcome addition to the team. With his great skills, he'd be an asset to your terrorist raids.
Be sure to check out each of these new features in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Mission Pack: Eagle Watch. Once you're familiar with each of them, the game will rise to new heights in planning, executing, and fulfilling your mission. Clark's watching you, especially. Your skills for taking out the terrorists, defusing the bombs, and shuttling the hostages to safety are of utmost importance to the survival of the Rainbow team. Now go enjoy the game, and watch your back!
