Tips for the Warring Factions

United Civilized States
  • Place your Ore Transport Base close to a resource field, but not on it. You need room for your harvesters to do their work.
  • Build three harvesters to collect resources as fast as possible, and keep the routes short between your resource fields and your Ore Transport Base.
  • Research weapons technology and upgrades as quickly as possible. The advanced weapons of UCS make mincemeat out of the enemy, while earlier weapons barely scratch them.
  • Use F9 to see the range of your Power Plant. Build Energy Transmitters at the very edge of this range to extend it further. Don't waste your money on building an Energy Transmitter anywhere but the edge of the Power Plant's range.
  • Build a double row of defensive walls. This slows down an enemy attack, and alerts you to their position. Also, upgrade your defensive towers to use double chain guns, rocket launchers, or plasma cannons.
  • Shadow Generators can be expensive to build in great numbers, so build one and use it in conjunction with your most powerful platoon. Open your attack with cheaper vehicles, and then surprise your foe with your advancing (but camouflaged) main force.
Eurasian Dynasty
  • Build Mines directly on top of resource fields. Only the material within two spaces around your Mines can be harvested.
  • Plan on building more than one Power Plant. Place them between buildings or in easily defended areas. If you lose power, your Mines will stop functioning (as will every other structure).
  • Build only two Taiga Transporters per Mine. A third will only get in the was, as there's only enough space for two transporters to await mined material. An exception to this rule is if your Mine and your Refinery are far enough apart so that you'll need additional transporters to keep the flow of resources going non-stop.
  • Use air units to supplement your weaker ground forces. UCS and LC have better technology, so you'll have to overwhelm them with a larger force. A strong air force can turn the tide of battle quickly in your favor.
  • Create a couple of platoons of fake tanks. Use these as your loss leaders (do NOT use them to guard your base, hoping the enemy will be scared off by their presence). Send the fake tanks into battle first, immediately followed by your main force. Your foe will (hopefully) be confused by the ruse long enough for you wipe out his strongest units.
  • Research shield generators quickly and use them on all of your units and structures. They will buy you precious time in combat.
Lunar Corporation
  • Rethink traditional power supply structures. Instead of one or two power plants, you are going to need a network of structures to attain the power you will need. Immediately build one Solar Power Plant and surround it with the maximum of ten Solar Cells. Build two or three Solar Batteries to store the energy generated on sunny days. Your batteries are your weak points, and your enemy will try to exploit this. Defend them well.
  • Place your Ore Transport Refinery right in the middle of a resource field. Only the material within two fields of your refinery can be harvested.
  • Build three Research Centers, but once you've researched all technologies, destroy two of them. You'll retain your technological advances, without draining precious power through extraneous structures.
  • Upgrade your shield technologies as fast as possible. These shields will be a key factor in your units' survivability on the battlefield.
  • Use your ability to hover above ground to your advantage: Force the enemy into territory they can't traverse in tracked vehicles and hit them while they're trapped.
  • When your enemy has nuclear capability, you must defend yourself with SDI structures. These have a limited range, however, so place them close to your most valued structures.
