Multiplayer Tactics
In multiplayer, treat epoch tempo as a weapon: scout your opponent's tech level, and if you reach a new epoch's units first (for example fielding Cannon or Musketeers against a still-Medieval army), attack in that window before they catch up.
Advanced Play
Pair a Strategist hero with your Warrior hero: the Warrior grants attack and morale to the group while the Strategist heals damaged units and demoralizes the enemy, letting a smaller stack out-trade a larger one and stay in the fight far longer.
