Rapier sights in on a GB Bomber
Over 150 players participated in this first EVER night combat event! To simulate the limiting effects of darkness, the radar range of the arena was only 4,000 feet with NO tags. Fighters had to use their radar screens to get close and then acquire visual contact, just as the Luftwaffe pilots had to in real life.
Our thanks to all the players that participated in this event. We learned a lot that will make the next night bombing event even better.
Though this event was an over all win for GE at least one GB pilot turned in a superlative performance. Flying Tiger managed to evade ALL of the GE aircraft and drop his bombs on target in a terrific bit of piloting! Salute to Flying Tiger.
