Grab your grappling hook and pick a role, because Team Fortress Classic has stormed the Internet Gaming Zone -- and best of all, it will not cost you a single cent. This free add-on for Valve's blockbuster Half-Life turns Gordon Freeman's world of headcrabs and HEV suits into an all-out battle of teams, tactics, and flag-grabbing glory. If you own Half-Life, you owe it to yourself to try it.

What makes TFC special is class-based teamplay. Instead of everyone playing the same soldier, you choose one of nine distinct classes, each with its own strengths, weapons, and job to do. A winning team needs a little of everything. Here are your nine:

• Scout -- lightning fast and lightly armored, perfect for racing to the enemy flag.
• Sniper -- patient and deadly, picking off foes from across the map.
• Soldier -- the tough all-rounder with a rocket launcher and plenty of armor.
• Demoman -- the demolitions expert, laying pipe bombs and detonation packs.
• Medic -- keeps teammates healed and can infect enemies with a nasty bio-weapon.
• HWGuy -- the heavy-weapons bruiser hauling a devastating assault cannon.
• Pyro -- roasts opponents up close with the flamethrower and incendiary rockets.
• Spy -- disguises as the enemy and strikes from behind. Trust no one!
• Engineer -- builds sentry guns and dispensers to fortify the base.

The heart of TFC is Capture the Flag. Two teams each defend a flag inside their base. Your goal is to fight your way into enemy territory, snatch their flag, and haul it back to your own base to score -- all while your defenders try to stop the other side from doing the same. It is fast, frantic, and enormously fun with a full room of players.
