General Game Tips

Pack up these game tips in your corporate briefcase before you play ruthless.com!

  • Learn the Executive traits. It's really important to know what type of CEO will be running the show and it also affects your Executive Orders.
  • Get promotions! The executives may gain new traits!
  • Watch out if there's a "Talented" executive! They have a 40% chance per level to get a new Trait!
  • A "Loyal" CEO is a plus, because they can't be hired away by the competition.
  • Strategically place your buildings on the tiles.
  • Watch your cash flow when you make your Executive Orders. You don't want to issue too many orders that may put you in debt. Always make sure you have enough income to cover your expenses.
  • Products! Products! And more Products! It's the stuff that brings in the dough.
  • Keep your stock prices high. It makes it harder for the competition to buy out your buildings.
  • READ the Headlines Screen! It's the best way to find out about other corporate activities, such as stock prices, lawsuits, and executive deaths.
  • Keep an eye on the Rankings.
  • Use the Investigate Executive Order to find your opponent's CEO's hidden traits. Finding hidden traits can either lower the stock value or get that CEO fired!
  • Stock prices a little low? If you've got a little extra cash to spend, buy back some of your stock. It will improve your stock price.
  • Blackmail: the corporate underground technique. It's a bit slimy and underhanded, but hey! Through your Security department, issuing a blackmail prevents an Executive from giving Orders to attack your buildings.
  • Your strategy is affected by the corporate setup: Normal, Aggressive, or Conservative. So think carefully!
