Download the Demo Version
The Demo Version can be downloaded on the Zone
right now. To ensure player compatibility, enter a game room designated for the Demo Version. The Zone has game rooms available for both the Dominant Species
Demo Version and the full retail version.
To download and launch the Dominant Species
Demo Version, follow these steps:
- Check the system requirements below. Please note that DirectX 5.0 or later is required if you are using Win95. Please install DirectX prior to playing the Demo Version. You may visit the DirectX site
for a free download.
- Begin installation by using the link below.
- After installing, to launch the Demo Version, click your Windows 95 Start button. Point to Programs, then Red Storm Entertainment, then Dominant Species
Demo, then click on the Demo button.
The Demo Version Help file can be displayed by clicking Help on the menu bar. You can also press F1 for quick help within the simulation.
Demo Version Requirements
- Microsoft Windows 95 or 98 operating system with DirectX 5.0
or above installed.
- Pentium 200 MHz CPU or 166MHz with Hardware acceleration.
- 32 MB RAM
- 4X CD-ROM drive
- At least 25MB free hard drive space
- Video: SVGA card (Direct3D compatible)
- Audio: Sound Blaster 16 compatible or better (DirectSound compatible)
- Mouse or other pointing device
Optional
- Audio board with speakers or headphones
- Graphics accelerator card compatible with Microsoft Direct3D (on Windows 95 or 98)
